Caroline Ashley - International expert on the contributions that business makes to solving problems of poverty in developing countries.
Caroline facilitates and analyses inclusive business - commercially sound business that tangibly involves people at the Base-of-the-Pyramid. She has been responsible for tracking results and drawing out lessons from inclusive business portfolios that span some hundreds of businesses in Africa and Asia. She is the Editor of the Practitioner Hub for Inclusive Business, and works directly with large companies, social enterprises, impact investors, and challenge funds.
In addition to work 'under the tree' in Africa and Asia, she has worked for the Overseas Development Institute, Namibian Government, US Congress, UK Parliament, and a host of bilateral, multilateral and private consultancy clients, and now runs her own company, Ashley Insight. Caroline received her BA from Balliol College, Oxford and her MA in International Economics and Social Change and Development from the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University.
